“En la reunión celebrada por el Comité de Obstáculos Técnicos al Comercio los días 14 a 16 de junio de 2016, los Miembros de la OMC debatieron acerca de cómo la observancia de normas puede promover el comercio de productos de alta eficiencia energética y reducir las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero. Al mismo tiempo, reconocieron la necesidad de intensificar la cooperación mundial en la esfera de las reglamentaciones sobre eficiencia energética. Los Miembros también expusieron preocupaciones comerciales en relación con 56 medidas comerciales, diez de ellas nuevas, referidas a temas que van desde los alimentos hasta los neumáticos, pasando por los medicamentos, los cosméticos, los juguetes y las telecomunicaciones.”
